In the spotlight

Help Us Strengthen Youth Collaboration Across Sectors

We aim to gain a deeper understanding of the realities, challenges, and priorities faced by youth-led groups working across the fields of environment, health, and education. By exploring how these areas intersect, we aim to highlight how cross-sectoral collaboration can enhance your work and build stronger networks for systemic change.

To this end, we are launching a short survey to gather your valuable insights and experiences, which will help shape future initiatives and support tailored resources for youth-led movements.

It takes just 10–15 minutes to complete, and responses can remain anonymous.

Deadline to respond: 30 June 2025

Your insights will directly contribute to a short summary report that will help funders, partners, and stakeholders better support youth-led action in Europe to make youth collaboration stronger and more impactful!

Behind the Scenes of Sustainaware’s Digital Escape Room

Game on! The Escape4Change team is in the exciting final stages of developing the project’s digital escape room. The prototype will explore the powerful links between climate change and public and mental health.

This interactive experience is being designed with input from the Youth Technical Advisory Board (YTAB), young people from across Europe who have contributed to ensuring the format is engaging, educational, and youth-driven.

You’ll soon be able to immerse yourself in real-life scenarios, make decisions, and explore innovative ways to act for a healthier planet. Stay tuned for the launch!

Social Media as a Tool for Change

During their latest capacity-building session, hosted by Youth and Environment Europe, Sustaiware’s Youth Technical Advisory Board (YTAB) focused on a topic that resonates with every young changemaker today: social media.

The session explored the best ways for portraying one’s work on social media and why we should care about that.

Participants were encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on how they currently engage with social media, why and what the challenges that they currently face.

Highlights of capacity-building session:
• Authenticity matters: followers want to see the people behind organizations
• Social media content types that connect:
  → Fun and relatable content
  → Educational or inspirational posts
  → Behind-the-scenes footage
→ Help content (tips, tools, solutions)
→ Sales or promotional posts: the least effective if overused
• Participants reflected on their use of social platforms and learned practical tips for ethical and strategic engagement.

The session sparked lots of new ideas on how to use social media for their work and projects outside of the project. And you? How do you use social media?
