WHERE?
The Sustainaware Summer School on Climate Change and Sustainability will be organized between 4 and 6 July 2022, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, Department of Geography (Aškerčeva cesta 2, 1000 Ljubljana).
The International Youth Climate Summit will follow after the summer school, taking place between 6 and 8 July 2022, at the House of the EU (Dunajska c. 20, 1000 Ljubljana).
SPEAKERS
To ensure high-quality content at the events, speakers with rich experience in the field of climate change mitigation, climate change education, and ecological footprint calculation will lead different sessions and workshops. Some of them include:
• Assoc. Prof. Katja Vintar Mally, PhD (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, Department of Geography)
• Mr. Alessandro Galli, PhD (Senior Scientist and Director, Mediterranean-MENA Program Global Footprint Network)
• Mr. Viktor Josa (Consultant at CliMates)
• Mr. Tomaž Gorenc (Director of the Institute for Health and Environment)
SPEAKERS

PROGRAM
The program will include different activities, varying from workshops and simulation games to plenary sessions and opportunities for networking as well as sightseeing in Ljubljana, former EU Green Capital.
You will also be able to listen to the lectures by world-leading experts in climate change, covering the topics related to your ecological and carbon footprint, sustainable development, climate advocacy and more!
The summit will include:
- in-depth presentations on topics related to environmental health;
- workshops on different SDGs;
- interactive and plenary sessions;
- world café;
- round table discussion;
- simulation games;
- and, of course, some time for networking.
